It provides added control during operations where potential for subject flight is anticipated such as warrant service, SWAT situations and vehicle checkpoint areas. If anyone attempts to drive the target vehicle away, the tire deflates in 5 seconds or less. At just over 3 inches (8.9cm) in length and weighing only 5.2 ounces (147g), Piranha requires little space for storage, yet adds significant capability - stopping pursuits before they start.
